Cake Boss Competition

Someone in our neighborhood sponsored a cake boss competition. My kids and their friends decided to take on this challenge, although a little more challenging than they imagined. I let them go at it in our kitchen, trying not to cringe at the mess that was being made. They sure had fun with it. And though they didn't win, it was a great learning experience and always fun to eat cake nevertheless! Time to start preparing for next years competition with the theme being 2012 Olympic Games.

His friend watched and helped.  Mostly watched.

Looking at little disappointed after seeing some of the other cakes...The vegetable cupcakes beat them.

A cute beach cake.  The tootsie roll palm tree was my favorite!  It kept leaning over because of the heat.
