St. George 2012

We went to St. George for Fall Break.  Unfortunately while it was nice up North, it was rainy and cold down South.  But we still had a couple of nice days in there.  Isaac made the most of it and played in the sand and rain puddles.

Thomas and the big boys played football.

And the other kids dared to swim in the cold swimming pool.

Joseph broke his arm on September 26 while playing on our trampoline (I still need to do a post on that).  He was a good sport about not being able to swim.  We initially tried putting plastic bags around his cast but that didn't work.

Eventually Isaac went full blown into the sand puddle.

He just couldn't help himself and it was pretty darn cute.
Kristen didn't want pictures.  Can you tell?

We had a lot of indoor time doing this.

He was pretty focused even when I stuck that camera right in his face.

But we finally made it on an outdoor outing when the weather cleared.   We went to the Mountain Meadows Massacre Site after church on Sunday.  I was not prepared about how disturbing and very sad it would be.

The Longsons came with us.

Michael was visibly pretty upset by what happened here.  He is deep in thought.

On a less somber note, one day a group of us went to Zions to hike Angel's Landing.

Yes, this is a picture of where they hiked to get to the top of that mountain.
About to embark...

Views from the top.

I included this picture of Megan because it probably accurately describes her fear.  Some places were extremely narrow with dropoffs on both sides!

Beautiful!
They did it!

Because of the weather we were unable to use our tickets to see Aladdin at Tuachan which was a bummer!  The girls were able to go see Hairspray there however which was so fun (still need to include those pictures and get them off my phone).
