Temple Walk

Megan was able to go on the "temple walk" with the YW in our ward last month.  They left at 3:30 in the morning to go to the Draper Temple and then from there walked 22 miles to the SL Temple.  This was done in memory of John D. Moyle, a pioneer who used to walk that distance every week to work on the SL Temple.  To read more about it there is an article here.

Megan with Elaine Dalton, the YW General President.  She was going to do the walk with the girls but had a leg injury so she met them at a church instead, before they walked their final 2 miles to the temple.

She made it!  She walked the entire time.  Here she is at the end entering the east temple gates!  And BTW, I made her put her arms up like that.

They were asked to walk in memory of someone and in celebration of someone.  She chose Grandpa and Aunt Susie.

It was worth it!

Scott with Chad and Lionel.  He drove a support vehicle that had the water and gatorade.  Everyone told me what a huge help he was.
